Mrs. Hardy is a respected civic leader and activist in the South Fulton County community and an outstanding businesswoman with notable experience in restaurant and retail management.In 1999, Mrs. Hardy spearheaded the creation of the first Community Improvement District (CID) in unincorporated Fulton County. The CID is a legal entity permitting commercial & industrial property owners to tax themselves to fund infrastructure improvements. Mrs. Hardy was appointed to administer for that CID and began the formation of the North Fulton CID. She is presently advising another business group to form a CID. Featured in Who's Who in Fulton County by the Atlanta Business Chronicle (1999), Mrs. Hardy is active in an array of business and civic organizations. She serves on the Board of Directors of the South Fulton CID, Financial Officer of Partnership for Tomorrow, served on the Fulton County Planning and zoning board, South Fulton Parkway Alliance, & Partnership for Tomorrow. She has also served on the Board of Directors of Cochran Mill Nature Center and South Fulton Chamber of Commerce. As a business woman, Mrs. Hardy was a licensed real estate agent for five years, owned and managed an art gallery, and served in management capacities for restaurant and retail stores, with responsibilities ranging from merchandise and directing retail displays to hiring personnel and supervising training.
